Real people. Real experiences. Life in the Netherlands.

Olandija is a community-driven blog created by people who live, work, study, and build their lives in the Netherlands.

Our contributors include professional recruiters, expats, international students, entrepreneurs, employees, and people from many other backgrounds. What connects us is a willingness to share our experiences and help others better understand life in the Netherlands.

Here you'll find personal stories alongside practical advice about living in the Netherlands, finding a job, building a career, studying, relocating, and adapting to Dutch life. Our contributors share what they've learned from their own experiences — including the challenges, opportunities, mistakes, and things they wish they had known earlier.

We believe some of the most useful advice comes from people who have already been through it.

Whether you're thinking about moving to the Netherlands, have just arrived, or have called it home for years, Olandija is a place to learn from others, exchange experiences, and feel part of a wider community.

And Olandija isn't just about reading.

Everyone has a story worth sharing. If you live or have lived in the Netherlands and have knowledge, experiences, or a perspective that could help others, we'd love to hear from you.
